I have been keeping a list of cute things that they say in England in my notebook. This is what I have so far:
fizzy drinks (soda)
star jumps (jumping jacks)
candy floss (cotton candy)
Lucy (you know, like the name)
Love (as a general thing to call women)
eggy bread (french toast)
Oh, if only they knew.
Millions of people
swarming like flies round
Waterloo underground
but Terry and Julie
cross over the river
where they feel safe and sound
and they don't need no friends
as long as they gaze on
Waterloo sunset
they are in paradise
